Developed a technology strategy for FedEx, a $27 billion company, that resulted in a highly successful $42 million project that provided the company with a single view of the customer regardless of the point of origin of customer interaction across 220 countries.

Managed the strategy, design and development and implementation for Plus System, Inc., the first national and international automated teller machine network. Successfully led the effort to build the transactional processing technologies for processing online payments, and development of back office systems to support the worldwide network doing business in 109 countries.

Implemented a new debit card processing strategy for Visa Debit Processing Services. Built high availability payment systems and back office services while implementing stronger change control and development methods resulting in faster time to market, as well as SAS/70 audit certification.

Enhanced legacy systems to enable use by consumers worldwide consistent with Visa’s global strategy. Developed regional customization capabilities, multi-currency and language capabilities, as well as interfaces to international networks in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Developed technology strategy and managed network operations, product and software development, quality assurance and systems integration for this heavy-duty B2C e-commerce company. Our efforts included development and implementation of foreign e-commerce websites as part of an expansion program into Europe and Asia. We further instituted an IT Project Management Office with Quality Assurance capabilities and an offshore software development center.

Prepared MDC Holdings, parent of Richmond American Homes, for a dramatic downturn in the homebuilding industry through the implementation of a new loan origination software system to increase revenues per customer, reduction of IT headcount by 60% while maintaining same levels of service. We also implemented a new CRM system to provide marketing with an improved lead generation and capture system and a new and improved disaster recovery system for the enterprise which reduced recovery costs by over 30%.

Reduced ProCard’s operating expenses 20% through the implementation of a new technology strategy and a web-based delivery model. ProCard was also able to achieve 50% faster time to market for client-requested product features, and a 75% reduction of post-release defects by implementation of a new software development model and regression testing.
